Emily & Paul’s kitchen embraces colour with confidence, moving deliberately away from safe or conventional choices.

Although drawn to both of our styles, Emily opted for a hand-painted finish to better reflect the character and age of her home. The cabinetry is fully plywood throughout, with painted shaker fronts bringing softness and presence to the space. As a subtle nod to our material-led roots, exposed plywood has been introduced within the larder cabinet — a quiet detail that adds warmth and contrast.

The palette is bold yet carefully balanced, bringing energy to the room without overpowering it. Ice Crystal composite worktops provide a bright, durable surface well suited to busy family life, complementing the strength of the colour choices while keeping the overall feel fresh and practical.

Confident, expressive and thoughtfully resolved, this is a hand-painted kitchen that proves tradition and boldness can sit comfortably side by side.
