Founded by Alison and Mark, Birkwood grew naturally from their combined skills and a shared approach to making things properly. Mark trained as a cabinet-maker in Australia, developing a deep respect for good materials, honest construction and well-considered detail. Alison’s background is in design, organisation and client care, bringing structure, clarity and warmth to every project.
Together, they lead a small, skilled team who share the same values: do good work, be good people, and leave every home happier than we found it.
We work closely with our clients from early ideas through to installation, offering guidance on layout, materials and detailing along the way. Our projects range from full kitchens to individual rooms and standalone pieces, each approached with the same level of care.
Being a small workshop means we stay hands-on, responsive and personally involved — something our clients value as much as the finished result.
