Our hand-painted kitchens are built on the same fully plywood cabinetry as all Birkwood projects, combining structural integrity with a softer, more traditional aesthetic.

Doors and drawer fronts are crafted in a classic five-piece shaker style, with plywood panels and solid framing, designed to carry paint beautifully and age gracefully. The result is a kitchen that feels timeless without losing the clarity and precision of contemporary construction.

Every painted finish is applied by the master craftsmen at Bannerman Decorators, using traditional brush techniques rather than sprayed coatings. Visible brush strokes and carefully built layers of paint bring depth, texture and character to the cabinetry — a finish that feels made by hand rather than manufactured.
