Kate's Kitchen
Kate’s kitchen occupies a beautifully converted former garage, now transformed into a generous family kitchen and dining space alongside a traditional stone cottage.
Hand-painted five-piece shaker doors form the core of the cabinetry, with reed and bead detailing adding subtle depth to the gable ends. The rich, dark blue finish brings drama and presence to the room, contrasting confidently with classic black granite work surfaces.
A mobile island mounted on castors introduces flexibility, allowing the layout to adapt easily to family life and entertaining. To the reverse of the cabinetry, a built-in bookcase nestles neatly between exposed green-oak trusses, reinforcing the architectural character of the space and linking the kitchen to its timber structure.
Grounded, versatile and thoughtfully detailed, this is a hand-painted kitchen that balances bold colour with traditional craftsmanship in a remarkable setting.
