Sarah and Rob's Kitchen

Sarah & Rob’s kitchen sits within a traditional Glasgow West End flat, where generous proportions and period detailing set the tone for the design.

The brief centred on maximising storage while preserving space for family dining and relaxed seating. Fully plywood cabinetry with hand-painted shaker fronts provides both structure and softness, allowing the room to feel ordered without becoming heavy.

Open shelving has been introduced carefully to prevent visual clutter and to keep the space feeling light. Aged brass ironmongery adds warmth and subtle elegance, complementing the painted finish and enhancing the kitchen’s connection to its architectural setting.

Balanced, practical and quietly refined, this is a hand-painted kitchen that respects its surroundings while working hard for everyday life.
