Alison and Euan's Kitchen

Alison & Euan’s kitchen was designed as part of a major renovation to a Victorian villa, transforming a series of smaller rooms into a generous, open-plan space with a strong central island and long main run of cabinetry.

The palette and detailing draw on a subtle 1950s American diner influence, interpreted through plywood cabinetry and carefully chosen colours rather than pastiche. This gives the kitchen its distinctive character while allowing it to sit comfortably within the proportions of the original building.

Storage has been integrated with particular care. Shallow cupboards have been designed to conceal structural pillars without disrupting the flow of the room, while a dedicated pull-out shelf allows the coffee machine to sit neatly in its own zone. Throughout, the cabinetry balances visual clarity with everyday practicality.

A confident, characterful kitchen that blends retro influence with contemporary craftsmanship, designed to work seamlessly within its historic setting.
