Jane and Alan's Kitchen

Jane & Alan’s kitchen was designed for their home in the heart of the Angus Glens, where lush greenery and rolling landscape form a constant backdrop to daily life.

Oak-veneered birch plywood provides warmth and texture throughout the cabinetry, creating a grounded, natural base. Rather than using laminate for colour, selected doors and drawer fronts have been hand-painted in a rich green, chosen to echo the surrounding landscape and bring softness to the scheme.

The combination of timber veneer and paint allows the kitchen to feel layered and tactile, while maintaining the clarity and precision of the underlying plywood construction. Storage has been thoughtfully planned to support everyday routines, ensuring the space remains calm and well ordered.
