Mariota & Sonia’s kitchen and utility were designed for a busy young family, bringing together practicality, colour and personality in equal measure.

Birch plywood cabinetry provides a robust foundation, layered with bright, uplifting finishes that reflect the clients’ sunny outlook and the way the space is used day to day. The kitchen and adjoining utility have been planned to work seamlessly together, ensuring storage is generous and well distributed without feeling overwhelming.

A particularly distinctive feature is the narrow showcase cabinet, created to house treasured pieces collected during their travels. This elegant vertical display replaces a former press cupboard, transforming an underused area into a focal point that adds both lightness and meaning to the room.

Joyful yet carefully resolved, this kitchen demonstrates how thoughtful planning and bespoke detailing can create a space that feels both hardworking and deeply personal.
